[01:53] [Wheri] Compare the story-required puzzle, giving wrong hints.
[03:39] [Darkhawk] hrm? Well, I'm off, guess you pushed through

[12:43] [Cyrilion] Afternoon
[12:59] [Darkhawk] Hey Cyrilion
[15:00] [der_Tommi] So, Star Trek: The Next Generation finished. Pretty cozy, never too intense for my feeble brain, rarely too addictive to disturb a work day.
[15:02] [der_Tommi] For the record: There was at least one "My God" (by Beverly) and one Christian funeral with an "Amen" (but no mention of God).
[15:02] [der_Tommi] (For Beverly's grandmother.)
[15:05] [der_Tommi] And yes, they constantly act in irresponsible ways, putting their command stuff in danger, bringing their kids into war zones etc. which can only really be overlooked because they always survive.
[15:09] [der_Tommi] And I got well reminded why it's such a popular target for parodies. A lot of the world and stories are so easy to pick apart.
[15:14] [der_Tommi] I do appreciate how rational everyone always is. "So, you're reporting bad dreams and hallucinations. Are you sure you're feeling well? All right then, Geordi, scan the ship for unusual radiation or alien precenses."
[15:36] [Darkhawk] Hehe, that IS rational if that's what they've come to expect
[15:37] [Darkhawk] And that's not much 'my god', so I guess those are unedited flukes.
[15:54] [der_Tommi] Yeah, I didn't mean that sarcastically. I really do think it's nice they so rarely go the usual "oh no, nobody takes this character's experience seriously" route.
[16:14] [Wheri] Time travel. Complete with a Dr. Who reference. Remember I told you I didn't get the game's tone?
[16:17] [der_Tommi] Pardon? What's that in response to?
[16:18] [Wheri] Just random Secret World musings.
[16:18] [der_Tommi] OK.
[16:42] [Darkhawk] Yes, the tone does change
[16:43] [Darkhawk] But that particular branch has been quite mangled by the new team.
[16:43] [Darkhawk] That was one of the DLC issues seperate from the main story before, and they changed it so it makes less sense.
[16:44] [Wheri] I think I've just finished it. Can't say I've seen anything especially jarring.
[16:44] [Darkhawk] Haven't you been in that.. eh.. No, probably not yet. It's part of a chain, so you're not finished yet.
[16:45] [Wheri] I do, however, like X-Files a lot more than Indiana Jones, going by the game.
[16:45] [Darkhawk] hehe yes, I think Egypt's their weakest area. But the best area of Egypt is the one you're in now.
[16:46] [Wheri] I like the area in general. Much tighter focus on the main conflict. The one in Kingsmouth, by comparison, felt almost entirely disconnected from the rest of the game.
[16:47] [Darkhawk] Yeah I guess we'd have differing opinions, hehe.
[16:51] [Wheri] Maybe it's a repeat viewing thing, since by now I have a better understanding of the setting's big picture and can see how things connect.
[17:03] [Wheri] Right. Pretty sure it's sending me to the next area now. I should be hitting 50 soon, which means, hopefully, no more level-locking.
[21:55] [Darkhawk] I finished all the content of the game now. So I guess now it'll just be whatever possible dungeon/raid stuff we could do, before the next expansion.
[21:57] [Darkhawk] Also, the new team and their first new area. Yeah, it's *spoiler*, and *spoiler*. But it's better than nothing. It's a rather massive game and still growing. Hope they'll let it be available as a solo game when it stops being supported.
[21:57] [Darkhawk] Or even better, that you can run it like Conan on private servers.
[22:56] Cyrilion (~Cyrilion@220.127.116.11) left irc: Quit: Leaving
